indeprod acquires oxford motivation

Corporate communications agency The Indeprod People Company has acquired fledgling performance improvement agency, Oxford Motivation, for an undisclosed sum.
Oxford Motivation has developed an impressive client base in the financial services and retail sectors since it was established over one year ago by John Fisher and Tony Moy. A significant factor in the company’s success has been the development of new online products designed to improve both sales team and wider staff performance as part of a company’s employee communications strategy. However, in the words of John Fisher, “We realised that in the brave new world of procurement, talent and extensive experience are not enough – you need to be part of a substantial organisation that offers a wide range of relevant services.”
This realisation coincided with Indeprod’s decision to accelerate the growth of its position in the performance improvement area and resulted in the acquisition. Founded 10 years ago by Barry Reading, Indeprod today is a £10M+ business with 50 staff and full-service capabilities that span live events, incentive travel, film and video, multimedia and the internet. The company runs campaigns for the likes of Audi, Esso, Dell, Airmiles and GlaxoSmithKline. Reading explains: “We deliver large-scale, pan-European employee communication programmes and needed to complement this capability with quality performance improvement programmes at a rapid rate. We saw that by bringing John, Tony and their talented team on board we would be able to achieve this.”
Oxford Motivation will initially operate from its existing base in Oxford with the aim of joining both companies under one roof at the Indeprod head office in Buckinghamshire by the end of 2007.
Indeprod plans further acquisitions in the communication, incentives and performance improvement services sectors.
